Setting up notification types

For each department it is possible to have an unlimited number of notification types. In the example below a council has set up five separate notification types a customer can opt in to for Council Tax alone:

Council staff can quickly and easily add more notification types. This includes the ability to control:

  • the ‘Preference Description’, which is what the customer sees online when they opt-in to a notification type.

  • whether a customer needs to opt-in/opt-out is controlled by the 'Preference Default Answer'
