Broadcast Topics

Broadcast Topics are groups of interrelated messages that enable articles to be logically grouped around a 'topic'. A topic might be 'Events and news' or 'Local Services Updates'.

In order to add a topic you simply click the 'New' button in the top right as shown below:

You will need to give it a name and tell it which template content should be used for email and text messages noting that if you do not do the latter you'll get validation messages as shown below:

Once you've linked each of the template items to your topic you need to 'Save and Publish' it for articles to then be able to be linked to it.

Details on linking the various templates is covered next. Once you have done this you'll see your new topic in the list of Topics:

When you go to OneVu to control the topics one can opt into - you'll notice this new topic is there:

Note that the default behaviour for a new topic is for it to be Disabled.
