Your Area - Your Issues is an additional module of IEG4’s OneVu Digital platform. It is designed to proactively enable citizens of your council to find / view location based issues previously reported to the council. The power of this service is that this functionality can be delivered and extended without any technical expertise.
Your Area enables councils to do everything below - with no code:
Build online forms with Bing Maps integration with eDesigner
Link these to processes which can be tracked by citizens online
Show any processes which are outstanding on both:
a map within the Your Area of OneVu
the map with online forms in question
4. Link to other data sets from approved back office applications and illustrate them in the same map as incidents held in OpenProcess
Therefore enabling citizens to:
See issues currently outstanding in their area
Filter/search for specific types of issues
See that the council already knows about an issue and therefore prevent duplicate / triplicate requests for the same thing
See details about council assets / outstanding issues held in the approved back office applications.
Non technical council users can build online forms that capture geolocation data in minutes with eDesigner:
Non technical users can set these online forms to create trackable processes / tasks for officers to work on which are visible within OpenProcess:
It is then possible to go further and link outstanding issues for a process type to a map to visualise known issues:
It is also possible to link multiple process types to a single online form. E.g. a ‘Report It’ form covering multiple incident types could show outstanding tasks for multiple process types.
Council Users are also able to adhoc create known issues as the bing maps functions are fully integrated into OpenProcess too:
Within OneVu, when the user selects the Your Area option the function this service definition relates to that is presented on the right - the Issues ‘tile’:
Clicking the Issues tile presents a map and the filter of known issues is automatically, without code, pre-populated with any processes which have the ability to capture a geolocation associated with them.
As one can see from the map the user is able to change the map view from a selection of five options. The following illustrates ‘Bird’s eye’ view:
Users can also:
Filter by those issues reported in the last:
24 hours
7 days
14 days
28 days
Filter by those issues reported within:
1 km
2 km
5 km
10 km
15 km
20 km
And search for issues:
Based upon their home location
Their current geo-location (if not at home)
At a specific location
Where this option is selected the entire power of the Bing Maps search is available:
Your Area is designed to integrate to any number of different systems to be populated with data. As a part of Your Area, we will build a library of additional applications that hold local asset/issue/incident data. With no code it is possible to link data from approved back office applications/services into Your Area.
The following example illustrates data held within the Yotta Alloy back office system relating to outstanding potholes:
Notice that this is the same UI, the citizen is viewing data from a different system without being aware such is the seamlessness of the integration.
A perfect example of how IEG4 looks to make digital simple yet effective.
Where one clicks on an item within the map, details of the ‘defect’ as held in Yotta Alloy, are presented in real time to the user media such as images shown to further prevent customers reporting the same issue twice:
