Notification Management
A dedicated Notification Management function enables council staff to see a log of all notification files that have been imported:
RELEASE 2.14 - Notification Retry
In release 2.14 of OneVu we updated/enhanced the functionality to be that below:
If one clicks a row, it is possible to see the underlying details and see the outcome of messages sent to customers:
As one can see there are details of:
Total Notifications gone through
This is the total number of rows processed
Account Numbers Processed
This is the total number of accounts/claims/cases affected. Note this can be lower than the total as often the same account/claim/case reference is sent multiple notifications.
In Progress
The count currently in progress
Succeeded
The count successfully sent
Skipped
The count of those skipped I.e. they have opted out of notifications
Failed
The count of those which have failed
There are two new features added in 2.14 of OneVu:
Continue the process
Retry all failures
Very rarely the notification generation process can go into a state of pause or a notification might fail.
If the process stalls, as it is processing >100,000 notifications, at end of year say, you can click the 'Continue the process' button to kick start the processing of the notifications again. It will be obvious that it has happened as the process actively counts each notification being processed. So if it has paused it will stop counting.
If any emails fail for whatever reason it is possible to retry these. Sometimes these are genuine failures i.e. the email address does not exist etc. but for technical issues this button enables failures to be automatically retried.
