Step Set Up

Steps are activities that should take place as a part of a process and without steps there is no process.

They illustrate progress to citizens tracking progress whilst also driving how work is assigned, any actions like emails that should be sent and control the constituent elements of the SLA for a process.

There are six types of process step, which are illustrated when you click on the blue icon to add the first step - as shown below:

Adding a step - Step Types

Not all steps will appear for all users. The:

• Standard step type will always appear

• Auto-completing step type will always appear

• REST API step type will only appear if you are licensed for the following OpenProcess - APIs & RESTful API Steps
• Branch step type will only appear if you are licensed for OpenProcess Flex
• Subprocess and Parallell subprocess step types are currently only available to IEG4 staff
