It is possible with OpenProcess Flex to make it so fields have to be provided prior to completing a step.
You can see an example of this below where the officer needs to set whether prosecution is being sought and some notes:
The ability to pass Fields into a step exists for all users of OpenProcess but the Fields Tab on process step set up is only relevant to those users that have OpenProcess Flex licensed. The Fields function enables you to set up Fields that must be completed as a part of a process step.
This functionality is useful where something will always need to be recorded in a step and you want to introduce best practice. I.e. in the example below these two questions need to be answered in order for the step to be completed.
So the functionality effectively creates a check list function for process steps.
Now when a person attempts to complete this step they see this if they attempt to complete it without providing the mandatory information.
Each and every step can have mandatory fields associated with the steps. Ensuring your workflows are completed in a standardised manner.
You can use any field type i.e. choice, single line of text, geographic location as a mandatory field.
