Settings
The following are the settings that can/should be changed by users to suit their requirements:
Name
Description
LowestCTBand
This will default to A and should not be changed.
HighestCTBand
This will default to H and exists because in Wales the number of Council Tax Bands is higher and the highest band is I.
EnableTransferToClaimAfterCalc
If TRUE the Calculator will allow applicants to prepopulate a claim with the information they already provided when completing the calculator.
ShowCTAmountsAlongsideBand
If TRUE beside each band the annual charge will show. This is the option that you should use if you do not have differences in prices for the same band. I.e. Band A is the same amount irrespective of the parish you reside in.
AskForCTAmountNotBand
If TRUE the customer will be asked for their annual council tax charge. This is because there are differences in the rates of council tax (even for the same band) depending upon the parish a person resides in.
LCTSEnable
This setting should always be true as it was introduced in 2012 ahead of 2013 when LCTS was first put in place.
LCTS_ProtectPensioners
This setting will always be true.
LCTS_SupportVulnerablePeople
This setting will be true if you support vulnerable adults as a part of your LCTS scheme.
LCTS_RemoveSAR

LCTS_ConsiderChildBenefit

LCTS_ConsiderCapitalForPassportedClaims
If TRUE details of capital are requested even if they are in receipt of a passported benefit.
UseVulnerableMaxLiability

This is basically about treating vulnerable claimants differently from both pensioners and (non-vulnerable) working age claimants.
MaxWhoAreYouAge
This setting defaults to 120 and controls the maximum age an adult can be. It's designed to prevent citizens accidentally typing a date of birth of 01/01/1080 for claimants instead of 01/01/1980.

DisabledChild100PercentLiability
In some councils they want to protect certain groups but only in terms of not reducing their liability that is used if the council's LCTS scheme has lower than 100% max liability. If this is true then
parents to disabled children have their calculation done based upon the full 100% liability.
Carer100PercentLiability
In some councils they want to protect certain groups but only in terms of not reducing their liability that is used if the council's LCTS scheme has lower than 100% max liability. If this is true then carers have their calculation done based upon the full 100% liability.
