Real-time Checks

The power of the IEG4 solution and reason for the high automation levels its customers achieve are in the real-time checks that are built-in. These are designed to prevent exceptions and forms being submitted in circumstances where you would not want this to happen.

Prior to submission, the SPARs form will:

  1. check if the council tax account number entered and the surname of the account holder match

  2. retrieve the user’s address if they successfully authenticate in step 1.

  3. retrieve the current liable parties/named occupants to enable any contact details/personal information to be added to the party when the form is submitted

  4. retrieve details of the ‘eligible’ debts in line with the council’s policies and check there are debts appropriate to be paid

  5. check if the person has a history of trying to set up payment arrangements and then subsequently reneging on the arrangement

  6. check in real-time, using the industry-leading online bank verification service from Loqate (GBG Group) that the bank account details are valid prior to form submission where they want to pay the arrangement by Direct Debit on the new account, and

  7. checking whether the person has a history of not paying direct debit instalments
