National Search (Blue Badge only)

This function is applicable to Blue Badges only and is used to search for Badges within the DfT National Database.
Search restrictions are dictated by the DfT API’s. The current search functions include:
Badge Number
Name
Postcode
NINO
You will be presented with the National Search screen as illustrated below:
It is possible to use multiple search functions. By using these, if an individual search is found, then the selection screen will not show, but the badge details screen will be returned.
By clicking on the Badge number, full details about the holder will be displayed:
Search results are retained when navigating away from this screen, and the last refreshed time is displayed alongside a link to Refresh the results.
Should the Badge being displayed originate from another Authority, then the Customer details can be imported using the ‘Import into local system’ facility at the bottom of the screen.
This will seamlessly create a person record, and if required, a Case using the address and contact details from the Badge itself.
