Security groups can only be accessed by those that have the correct permissions. The first user created by ieg4 in your organisation will have access to Security Groups.
Once you have signed-on to the configuration system, the following screen will appear:
By clicking on 'Security groups', any existing groups will be displayed:
Within the Case management system there are 5 levels of group security
Application permissions - allows access to the system from sign-on
Administration permissions - allows access to the configuration system
Case permissions - allows access to areas and actions within the Case
Reporting permissions - allows access to the Reportal
Workflow permissions - permits actions at workflow level
To update an existing group, by clicking on one of the groups the following screen will appear:
Clicking on 'Manage Permissions' gives you access to the full permissions screen.
You are then able to amend any of the permissions for this Permissions group, and press Save.
To create a Security Group, click on the 'Create' button and the following screen will appear:
Give the group a name and press 'Create'. The screen that appears will be the top level 'Security Groups' screen allowing you click on the group and amend the permissions that you wish (the new group will have no permissions set until you have updated it).
A powerful aspect of the Concessionary Travel system is the ability to apply Security Group controls to the Workflow Stages. This enables the Authority to control which groups of users see and are able to progress the different stages of the application process.
The Search results visibility section shows which Security Groups are able to see the Workflow Stage in the Work Items screen.
Click on an Outcome and that will show Outcome Settings which includes the Destination stage if that Outcome
Components and Actions enables the content of the page and any system actions for the Outcome selected to be configured. This part of the configuration is maintained by IEG4.
Click on Advanced Settings to show the Security Groups that are able to select each Outcome
